Everything you're wondering about AI job placement.
Plain answers about how AI job placement works, what it costs, and whether it fits your organization.
About Job Machine & how it works
What is Job Machine?
Job Machine is an AI-powered job placement platform. Organizations that are responsible for placing people, training providers, career colleges, community colleges, workforce boards, and veteran programs, use Job Machine to get their people hired. The AI tailors resumes, applies to jobs, schedules interviews, preps candidates, and captures the offer, so staff can focus on coaching.
Is Job Machine an AI tool?
Yes. Job Machine is an AI placement platform with people in the loop at key points. The AI does the high-volume work; humans provide judgment and accountability.
How does AI job placement work?
Job Machine tailors each candidate's resume to the jobs they're targeting, finds and applies to the right openings on their behalf, handles employer scheduling, preps the candidate for each interview, and captures the offer letter and verification of employment, all tracked in one place.
What does Job Machine automate?
Resume tailoring, job discovery, applications, interview scheduling, interview prep, and offer and verification capture. As the team puts it, every step of getting a job except getting dressed for the interview.
Who uses Job Machine?
Workforce boards and American Job Centers, career colleges and training providers, community colleges, veteran-serving organizations, and outplacement firms, anyone measured on getting people hired.
Does Job Machine replace career services or case managers?
No. It removes the busywork and the production work so staff can do the human work that actually lands offers, coaching, encouraging, and preparing people. It also gives them visibility into who needs help before an interview, not after.
How is Job Machine different from a job board like Indeed or LinkedIn?
Job boards are where openings are posted. Job Machine is the AI that goes and applies to those openings on a candidate's behalf, then schedules and preps the interviews. It works on top of the job market, not as another listings site.
Results & effectiveness
Does automated job placement actually work?
Yes. In a pilot with a workforce center serving dislocated workers, placement went from roughly 10% to over 55%. Schools already placing around 75% have reached 85% with less career-services coverage. Results depend on the population, and Job Machine is honest about that.
What placement rates can we expect?
It depends on the population. Fresh graduates and recent completers place at high rates; older or disengaged candidates are harder. Job Machine cites real pilot results rather than promising a specific number.
How long does it take to place someone?
On average, about 28 days from onboarding to placement.
How fast does Job Machine start working?
Candidates onboard in under three minutes, mostly over text, and Job Machine begins applying on their behalf shortly after.
Can Job Machine reach people we can't?
Often, yes. In one pilot, Job Machine re-engaged more than half of a list the customer had written off as impossible to reach. Most communication happens over text.
Pricing
How much does AI job placement cost with Job Machine?
Pricing is consumption-based. You pay per activated candidate, only when someone onboards and Job Machine starts applying for them. There's no minimum and no long-term commitment.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. It's consumption-based with no long-term commitment. You can start or stop anytime.
What does "activation" mean for billing?
A candidate is activated when they complete onboarding and Job Machine begins applying to jobs on their behalf. You only pay for people who activate, not for everyone you send.
Can we start with a pilot?
Yes. Most customers start with a pilot of a limited number of people, with no commitment, to see the results first.
Trust, security, and accuracy
Is our data secure with Job Machine?
Yes. Job Machine has passed security and IT reviews with publicly traded schools, community colleges, and government workforce boards, with strict data privacy throughout.
Does the AI make mistakes or fabricate things on resumes?
The AI does the volume; humans review at key points. AI needs judgment and accountability from people, which is exactly where the customer's team and Job Machine's team stay in the loop.
Do candidates consent to Job Machine applying for them?
Yes. Every candidate agrees to terms and a privacy policy during onboarding.
Do employers know it's AI?
Employers experience a professional applicant who communicates well and shows up prepared. The candidate is represented accurately.
Does Job Machine work for people with low digital literacy or barriers?
Yes. Because most communication is by text, the app barely matters. Job Machine has supported populations with significant literacy, language, and digital barriers.
Fit & getting started
Does Job Machine integrate with our existing systems and reporting?
Job Machine layers on top of the systems you already use, and reporting is exportable. You can generate reports in plain language, the way you'd ask a person.
How hard is it for our team to learn?
It's designed to be simple. A customer success team helps onboard and train staff, and most day-to-day visibility happens in one dashboard that fills itself in.
How do we get started?
Book a demo. From there, most customers run a pilot with a limited number of people and expand from there.
By organization type
Can Job Machine help workforce boards and American Job Centers?
Yes. Job Machine places more people without adding staff, reaches dislocated workers, TANF and SNAP recipients, and veterans, captures placement verification you own rather than waiting on DOL data, and helps boost the Q2 and Q4 employment rates and median earnings you're measured on. See the Workforce solution page.
Can Job Machine help career colleges hit accreditation placement rates?
Yes. Job Machine places graduates predictably, program by program, to help clear the standards ACCSC, ACCET, and ABHES hold you to, without the last-minute push every reporting period. See the Career Colleges solution page.
Can Job Machine help community colleges with Workforce Pell placement requirements?
Yes. Starting July 1, 2026, Workforce Pell ties funding for short-term programs to a state-verified placement rate. Job Machine produces and proves real placement, program by program, before verification begins. See the Community Colleges solution page and the white paper.
Can Job Machine help veteran employment programs?
Yes. Job Machine has gotten thousands of veterans hired, translates military experience into civilian resumes, and works mostly over text for every readiness level. It supports VET TEC providers, Jobs for Veterans State Grant programs, and placement-funded nonprofits. See the Veterans solution page.
Can Job Machine power an outplacement firm?
Yes. Job Machine is the engine behind modern outplacement, actually getting people hired rather than handing them a resume and tools, so firms can deliver real outcomes faster and for less. See the Outplacement solution page.
